Element 3.2.1.3. Fracture in Toughened Ceramics, Ceramic Technology Project.  Investigated high-temperature creep deformation behavior of monolithic ceramics and whisker-reinforced ceramic composites.  Developed the test methodology to evaluate the relationships between fiber/matrix interfacial characteristics, interface properties, and the mechanical properties of ceramic composite systems.
