  报告人简介:

Steven J. Ray graduated in 1993 at Faculty of Chemistry, Hope College in Holland, and obtained his PhD. in 2003 in Institute of Analytical Chemistry, Indiana University in Bloomington. During the doctoral student, he joined the research group of Gary Hieftje, where he studied time and Polarization dependent fluorescence spectroscopy, novel sources for atomic emission and atomic mass spectrometry, various sample introduction systems, and most recently, time-of-flight mass spectrometers for plasma-source mass spectrometry. After his graduation, he stayed on as the research scientist within the group and is currently involved in the design and construction of a dual-source ICP/ESI time-of-flight mass spectrometer. He was author and co-author of more than 70 papers in the refereed impacted international journals, seven patents and more than 60 papers in conference proceedings. He was a visiting faculty in the department of chemistry, University of Oviedo and Tschwane University of Technology. He also serves as editorial board member of several infusive journals such as Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, Analytical and BioAnalytical Chemistry and Spectrochimica Acta Part B.
