摘要:Colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals, known as quantum dots (QDs), possess unique optoelectronic properties. The most intriguing property is their size-dependent absorption and emission, which has been exploited in applications ranging from photovoltaics to bio-imaging and LED’s. Semiconductor nanocrystals with highly sophisticated architecture and complex geometry exhibit advantageous physicochemical properties in comparison to the proverbial zero-dimensional QD, and are currently pushing the performance limits of QD-based applications. This talk will elaborate how shape-anisotropic, heterostructured semiconductor nanocrystals show large promise in terms of optoelectronic applications.
